Geneseo’s Luke Henkhaus, Bruce Moore, Eli Allen, Logan Tuggle and Rob Stohl all competed for the Maple Leafs at the BOS Center, in Springfield, on March 11.

A freshman, the Leafs’ Logan Tuggle battled his way to the elite eight at 126-pounds.

Tuggle won his preliminary match with a pin in 2:35, and he added an 11-3 win by major decision in the second round.

Tuggle was defeated by Alton’s Damien Jones in the elite eight match with a 9-4 decision.

Geneseo’s Luke Henkhaus earned a victory in the preliminary round with a 14-0 major decision at 120-pounds.

A sophomore, Henkhaus was defeated in the second round by decision 2-0 against Lyons Township’s Tyler Hillard.

A freshman, Geneseo’s Bruce Moore lost a close match by decision 4-1 in the 120-pound prelim.

A sophomore, Eli Allen nabbed a 6-3 win by decision in the preliminary round at 182-pounds.

Allen was defeated by decision 4-2 by Dzhabrall Khurshidov from West Aurora.

The Leafs Rob Stohl lost a hard-fought match at 220-pounds 1-0 by decision against Charles Millington from Waubonsie Valley.
