The Maple Leafs finished sixth against a tough field of competition, in Moline on May 5.

GHS’ Brandon Gallagher and Mick Haverland finished fourth in the No. 1 doubles bracket falling 6-2, 6-4 in the third-place match against Morton’s Sam Taluc and Barik Olden.

The Maple Leafs’ Dylan Hart and Ben Ford grabbed seventh at No. 2 doubles with a 6-4, 6-3 win.

Mason Miller finished in seventh place in the No. 1 singles bracket defeating Galesburg’s Lucas Shroyer 6-4, 6-1, and Griffin Tracey was finished sixth in the No. 2 singles bracket.

Geneseo at Alleman

The Maple Leafs were defeated by the Pioneers 6-3 at Riverside Park, in Moline, on May 8.

In doubles play, Ford and Hart picked up a 7-5, 6-1 win, and Gallagher and Luke Chaney claimed a 6-4, 6-4 win.

Patrick Turpin scored a singles victory defeating Tommy Skahill 6-1, 6-2.

Geneseo’s next matches will come at the Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference tournament hosted at the LP-Athletic Complex on Saturday, May 12 at 8 a.m.
