Geneseo vs. United Township

The Lady Leafs’ Caitlin Gilmore and Bailey Mitchell hit a pair of solo home runs to launch Geneseo past the Lady Panthers 5-2.

Mitchell hit an RBI single in the sixth to extend Geneseo’s lead to, and Anna McAvoy added an RBI single to up the lead to 4-1.

Delaney Ostrowski hit an RBI double in the seventh, and she earned the win in the circle pitching five innings allowing one run on four hits with three walks and five strikeouts, and Thomas pitched the final two innings with allowing one run on one hit.

Geneseo vs. Moline

The Maroons came away with a 10-9 victory in the slugfest between the two powerhouse teams.

Geneseo hit three home runs with Allison Yager, Eden McAvoy and Cora Varland all going yard.

Varland finished 4-for-5 with a home run, a double, and three RBIs, and Yager finished with three hits and two RBIs.

The Leafs’ Ava Bieneman reached base three times and drove in three runs.

Geneseo vs. Lockport

In the regular season finale, Geneseo scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings.

However, Lockport plated the go-ahead run in the eighth to defeat the Lady Leafs.

Yager hit an RBI double to tie the game in the seventh, and Bieneman was spectacular finishing 4-for-4 with a double and a triple.

Ostrowski tallied three hits and drove in two runs, and Hannah Himmelman drove in a run in the fifth.

Jane Thomas pitched well in relief throwing four shutout innings.

A senior, Thomas allowed one hit with no walks and three strikeouts.
