LaSalle-Peru at Geneseo

A senior, the Lady Leafs’ Emma Snell earned medalist honors on Senior Night at Geneseo Country Club on Sept. 18.

Snell finished with a 40 for the meet’s low round, and Jenna Cheek was a stroke back with a 41.

Geneseo’s Elizabeth Roodhouse carded a 45, and Eryn Murray finished with a 46.

The Leafs’ Keely Nguyen fired a 50, and Audrey Toone finished with a 55.

Avery Spranger landed with a 56, Eleni Andrios shot a 57 and Tricia Elden added a 69.

In the JV competition, Paige Laingen (50) finished with the Geneseo JV low round.

Miranda Roemer fired a 54, and the Leafs’ Jordan VanHoutte and Jenah Hart finished with a 57.

The Leafs’ Rachel Vondra carded a 58, and Elizabeth Maciejewski finished with a 59.

Geneseo’s Sarah Sebastian tallied a 67, and Hannah Mays finished with a 68.

The Leafs’ Madison Kensinger worked her way to a 70.

Galesburg Invite

The Lady Leafs finished runner-up as a team, and Cheek finished third individually at Bunker Links in Galesburg on Sept. 22.

Geneseo (358) finished just 15 strokes back of title winner Quincy (343), and Check had the Lady Leafs low round with a 78.

Roodhouse earned a 13th place finish with a 92, and Snell and Murray each finished with rounds of 94.

Hart carded a 99 to finish in 21st place, and Paige Laingen finished with a 115 to finish in 46th place.

NIB 12 Conference invite

In the final NIB 12 Conference invite, Geneseo went out on top winning the title for the ninth consecutive season.

Geneseo (335) held off runner-up Yorkville by 17 strokes for the championship among a six-team field.

Geneseo’s White JV team came in fourth with a score of 414, and Geneseo’s Teal team came in sixth with a 457 score.

Emma Snell led the way for the Lady Leafs with a fourth-place finish carding an 83.

With the top 15 earning All-Conference honors, Geneseo’s Jenna Cheek, Eryn Murray and Elizabeth Roodhouse each tied for fifth place finish with an 84.

Paige Laingen her name to the All-Conference list with a 96.
