The Geneseo girls’ bowling team nabbed a win against Sterling, competed at the Buccaneer Invite, defeated Moline and hosted Morris.

Geneseo at Sterling

The Lady Leafs’ Emily Pobanz was electric finishing with a three-game series of 680 at Blackhawk Lanes on Jan. 3.

A senior, Pobanz rolled games of 267 and 232 to rack up the high dual series, and Geneseo earned a 3095-2900 victory over Sterling.

Jenah Hart rolled her way to a 549 series, and Madison Holevoet finished with a 500 series.

Karis Ostrowski tallied a 462 series, and Delaney Ostrowski finished with a 458 series.

Geneseo’s Breann Keller finished with a 446 series.

Geneseo’s JV team earned a 2395-1721 victory over Sterling.

The Lady Leafs’ Grace Moore led the way with a 482 series, and Katelynn Emerick finished with a 435 series.

The Lady Leafs’ Miranda Roemer tallied a 388 series, and Alex Buyck finished with a 367 series.

Molly McGill added a 363 series, and Tricia Elden finished with a 360 series.

Buccaneer Invite

The Lady Leafs’ Pobanz earned a seventh-place finish among elite talent at the Cherry Bowl in Rockford on Jan. 5.

Pobanz rolled her way to an 1184 series, and she finished with three games eclipsing 200 pins (223, 205, 214).

A strong three games in the morning had Geneseo’s team in the mix, but some struggles knocked them to ninth (4910) in the team standings with Harlem winning the title with a 5634 team pinfall.

Delaney Ostrowski rolled her way to a 988 series, and Hart finished with a 951 series.

Holevoet tallied a 755 series in a five-game series, and Karis Ostrowski finished with a 583 four-game series.

Geneseo’s Keller finished with a 449 three-game series.

Geneseo at Moline

The Lady Leafs earned a solid win against the Marrons 2603-2592 on Jan. 7.

Pobanz’s hot streak continued earning her the top dual three-game series honors with a 624.

Pobanz roared out with a 241 game before closing with a 213 game.

Karis Ostrowski tallied a 577 series, and Holevoet finished with a 478 series.

Delaney Ostrowski rolled her way to a 464 series, and Hart finished with a 460 series.

In the JV competition, Geneseo scored a 2151-1752 victory over Moline.

Geneseo’s Keller led the way with a 458 series, and Moore finished with a 446 series.

Adi Hernandez-Nesbitt tallied a 440 series, and Emma Kass finished with a 409 series.

Geneseo’s Roemer finished with a 398 series.

Morris at Geneseo

The Lady Leafs fell just shy of toppling Morris defeated 3175-3015 at Lee’s Lanes on Jan. 8.

Geneseo’s Holevoet had the top dual series with a 585 series.

A freshman, she rolled games of 221 and 206 to lead Geneseo.

Pobanz rolled her way to a 526 series, and Hart wasn’t far back with a 525 series.

Delaney Ostrowski tallied a 495 series, and Karis Ostrowski finished with a 443 series.

Geneseo’s Keller finished with a 441 series.

In the JV competition, Geneseo earned a 2549-2151 victory over Morris.

The Lady Leafs’ Roemer tallied a team-high 475 series, and Kass wasn’t far back with a 468.

Moore tallied a 453 series, and Hernandez-Nesbitt finished with a 424 series.

Madison Kensinger added a 383 series, and Buyck finished with a 346 series.

The Lady Leafs’ next home dual will be against LaSalle-Peru on Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 4 p.m.
