Raymond Floyd DeLay, 95, of Boone, Iowa, formerly of Geneseo, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at Boone County Hospital, Boone. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17 at Stackhouse -Moore Funeral Services, Geneseo. The Rev. Melva Graham-England will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo. Masonic services by Stewart Lodge No. 92 A.F. & A.M. also will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with a visitation between the services from 1:15 p.m. to 2 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Geneseo Humane Society.

Floyd was born on June 14, 1918, in Palestine, Ill., the son of William Earl and Mabel (Dickinson) DeLay. He married June Shafer on Sept. 26, 1940, in Robinson. She died on Feb. 8, 2010. Floyd had worked as an office manager for Kraft Foods. He had been a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Geneseo, Geneseo Masonic Lodge and the Geneseo Country Club.

Survivors include four children, daughter, Sharon Scandrett-Hibdon of Ogden, Iowa; son, Robert DeLay, Cummings, Ga; son, Randall (Jeanne) DeLay of Coal Valley; and daughter, Cynthia (Javier) Bermudez of Kewanee; 11 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, a sister and a daughter-in-law.
