In a previous blog about Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Youth Outcomes Report conducted by Salem Valentino and Marc Wheeler, the following eight measures were tested:



social competence – parental trust
educational expectations – risk avoidance
grades – truancy
social acceptance – special adult relationship


The seven outcome areas that were examined for school-based and community-based were:



social acceptance – grades
scholastic competence – attitudes toward risky behaviors
educational expectations – special adult relationships
parental trust
