Laura A. Taylor, 57, of Geneseo died Friday, July 10, 2015, with her family by her side at Genesis East in Davenport, Iowa. A funeral service was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 14 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Geneseo. A visitation was from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, July 13 at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. Burial was at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.

Laura was born July 15, 1957, in Moline, the daughter of Warren and Jeanne Fitzsimmons Werner. She married Terry Taylor on May 15, 1987, in Moline. Laura worked for more than 20 years at Oak Glen Nursing Home. She was very active at St. John’s Lutheran Church and loved spending time with all of her family.

Survivors include her husband, Terry; children, Dan Garwood of Davenport, Iowa; Brandy (Paul) Borg of Des Moines, Iowa; Jami Garwood-Oneil of East Moline; and Katharin Taylor of Geneseo; nine grandchildren; brothers, Jim (Lisa) Werner of Florida and Dusty (Dina) Werner of Colona; and several nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her dearly. Laura was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Larry Werner.
