Rita Rozann Lewis, 86, of Rock Island, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at Good Samaritan Village, in Geneseo. A funeral service was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23 at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111-1st St. A., in Moline. A visitation was one hour prior to the service. Private burial was at the National Cemetery, in Rock Island. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Rozann was born Aug. 12, 1932, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of William and Anna Louise (Schmid) Peters. She married Donald E. Lewis on Sept. 24, 1960, in Keokuk. He preceded her in death in March 1999.

Rozann graduated from Keokuk High School in 1950. She worked at Hoerner Boxes Inc., in Keokuk, in the general office of the IBM department as a switchboard operator. She was a former member of St. Pius X Church, in Rock Island, the Junior Women’s Club, and a volunteer at the Franciscan Hospital. She enjoyed knitting, seek-and-find puzzles, reading and decorating her home for every holiday.

Survivors include her daughter, Kelley Clark and son-in-law, Doug clark, of Geneseo; rela-friends, Andy and Jean Sill, of Moline; Greg and Ana Sill and family, of Stoughton, Wis.; and Grace Meinhardt and family, of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.; close friend, Donna Spencer, of Rock Island; and cousin, Carm Fett, of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Peters; and nephew, Loren Peters.
