Rosemary A. Keim, 83, of Annawan, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2019, at the Hammond-Henry Hospital Emergency Room, in Geneseo. A funeral service was at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28 at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, in Atkinson. Burial followed at Oakwood Cemetery, in Geneseo. A visitation was from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27 at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Annawan/Alba Rescue Unit.
Rosemary was born Dec. 27, 1935, in Geneseo, the daughter of James M. and Lillian (Buechler) Resser. She graduated from Geneseo High School with the Class of 1953, and attended business college in Chicago for one year. Rosemary was married to Marvin Keim on July 18, 1954, in Annawan. She worked at the Rock Island Arsenal for 20 years, in several departments. Rosemary loved decorating her home for Christmas, and most loved cooking for and spending time with her family. She enjoyed being outdoors and gardening.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Valerie (Walter) DePoorter, of Moline; and her brother, James Resser, of Geneseo. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lynnette Keim (2004); sisters, Judith Russell and Karen Resser; and brother, Dale Resser.
