Deborah “Debbie” Jean (Russell) Thompson, 61, of Inman, S.C., died Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at her home. The family greeted friends from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19 at Seawright Funeral Home, in Inman, S.C. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 120 Heywood Ave., Suite 300, Spartanburg, S.C. 29302 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn, 38105-9959.

Debbie was born Oct. 22, 1957, in Gettysburg, Pa., the daughter of Nancy Ruth (Farrey) Russell and John “Jack” Ross Russell Jr., of Geneseo.

She was the wife of Jack D. Thompson. She worked as a machine operator at West Rock, formerly Southern Container, and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by two sons, William Church (Crystal), of Clifton, S.C.; Jason Smith, of Inman, S.C.; a sister, Deanna Walden (Mike), of Sanford, Fla.; two brothers, Randy Russell (Jacquie), of Geneseo; and Robert Russell (Carleen), of Peru; five grandchildren, Austin Church (Morgan), Chelsea Church, Ashlea Church, Ethan Smith and Dylan Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Jenny Church and William Church.
