Beth Ann Hill, 77, of Galesburg, formerly of Elmwood and Geneseo, died peacefully at home after
enduring a long challenge with ovarian cancer at 4:16 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2020 with her beloved husband of 61 years, Dick by her side.

Beth was born July 11, 1942 in Elgin, the daughter of Earl James and Marjorie Marie (Dobbins) Johnson. At 16 Beth knew she wanted to marry Richard Frederick Hill. They were wed the day Dick got out of boot camp, December 20, 1958 in Prospect Heights. Dick survives of Galesburg; as does one daughter, Sandra Montoya of Elmwood; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren; and one brother, Robert Johnson of Park City, UT. Along with her parents, Beth was preceded in death by her son, Christopher in 2001.

Beth was a prolific reader. She spent her life as a homemaker and enjoyed making sure the house was a home. She loved to decorate the house and work in the yard. Beth and Dick enjoyed travelling the United States, especially Missouri, Florida, Montana, and Utah.

Cremation rites will be accorded and no services are planned. Memorials may be made in Beth’s
