As April slips away into May, with Seniors still e learning at home, Spring sports canceled, Prom postponed, Graduation still in jeopardy, two local businesses are asking locals to Adopt A Senior.

A movement went out on a Geneseo Moms’ Facebook page, recently, asking for people to make the 2020 Senior’s year a little special. The Mom's want to lift the spirits of HS students in some way and would like to see every student receive a special yard sign with their photo. Everyone can help by sponsoring an entire yard sign or making a donation that will be applied toward a sign. The signs are designed and produced by Underground Graphics and All In Stitches.

The goal of the Adopt A Senior program is to have one made for each of the 202 Seniors at Geneseo High who are missing the last of their High School year. These yard signs can be displayed at their homes and hopefully when able, they can use them in a collective celebration. Whether it be a parade, a ceremony or a graduation party!

Here's How it works...

1️⃣Go to:

2️⃣Pick An Amount under Adopt a Senior or sponsor an entire yard sign for $45.00

3️⃣Choose the school the student is graduating from, put the name of a senior you would like to donate towards. In the case of Geneseo, you don’t necessarily need to specify a student.

4️⃣All In Stitches and Underground graphics will do the rest!!

At this point all the money donated will go towards a 4ft x 2ft yard sign. They are $45 each. If there is an overwhelming response, we will add items to be donated. The photo is an example of what the banner will look like, but will be customized for each student!

Donations for yard signs and banners can also be made for Annawan, Erie, Moline, Orion, Prophetstown, UT, Rock Island, Alleman, Pleasant Valley, Kewanee, Bureau Valley, Bettendorf, Assumption, Davenport North, Davenport West, Davenport Central, Cambridge, Rockridge and Alwood.
