Kenneth Eugene Wesselhoff, 92, of Pontiac, passed away at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018, at Tjardes Health Care Center at Evenglow Lodge, Pontiac.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Pontiac, with Father David Sabel officiating. Inurnment will be in Southside Cemetery, Pontiac, at a later date.
Calvert & Martin Funeral Home, Pontiac, has charge of arrangements.
Kenneth was born June 27, 1926, in Pontiac, a son of John and Mamie (Dobbs) Wesselhoff, He married Beverly Jean Frailey on Dec. 24, 1947. She preceded him in death on Oct. 20, 1997.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Wesselhoff of Pontiac; one son, Capt. Steve (Suanne) Wesselhoff, USN, Ret.; two granddaughters, Amy Kasper, Laura Lopez; four great-grandchildren, all of Tampa, Fla.; one brother, Bob (Debi) Wesselhoff of Pontiac; three nieces and nephews; and seven great-nieces and nephews.
His parents also preceded him in death.
Kenneth was a veteran of World War II, proudly serving his country in the U.S. Navy from 1944 until 1946. He was a printer for Johnson Press in Pontiac for 40 years. Kenneth was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pontiac.
Memorials in his name may be left to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Pontiac.
