Arlene D. Misfeldt

Houston, TX - Arlene D. Misfeldt, 90, of Houston, TX, formerly of Geneseo, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Addington Place of Clear Lake, Houston, TX. A private family burial at North Cemetery, Geneseo, is scheduled for the near future. A memorial service will be held at a time soon to be determined at First United Methodist Church, Geneseo. Reverend Dr. Chris Ritter will officiate. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society (https://donate3.cancer.org/), First United Methodist Church, 302 N. Arlene was born May 27, 1931, the daughter of Fred and Dorthea (Michelsen) Stewart, in Hillsdale, IL. She graduated from Hillsdale High School, class of 1949. On December 8, 1951, Arlene married Leland "Lee" Misfeldt in a service held in Hillsdale, IL. He preceded her in death in 2003. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Bestor Brothers and then later for The Cellar Restaurant, retiring in 1993. Arlene was a member of First United Methodist Church, Geneseo, Geneseo Country Club, Geneseo Moose Lodge, and the American Legion Auxiliary. In her spare time, she enjoyed golfing.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Randal (Deborah) Misfeldt, Houston, TX, and Diane (Michael) Peterson, Opelika, AL; grandchildren, Margaret Peterson, Meredith Peterson, Katherine Misfeldt, and Claire Misfeldt; and great grandchildren, Margaret Considine, Beatrice Considine, Spencer Miller, and Sawyer Miller.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Dorthea; her loving husband, Leland; daughter, Cyndy (Misfeldt) Mallum; sister, Maxine Evans; brothers, Richard Stewart and William Stewart.
