Jacqueline Lee Cherry

Geneseo - Jacqueline Lee Cherry, 81, of Geneseo, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at her home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel. Reverend Mike Sigwalt will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo. Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m., prior to the funeral service on Thursday.

Jacqueline was born on May 23, 1940, the daughter of Keith and Geraldine (Latham) Southwick, in Moline, IL. She married Kenneth Cherry on June 1, 1955. Jacqueline enjoyed being a homemaker and spending her time raising their five children. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, an international women's friendship network and the Geneseo Garden Club. She enjoyed going to their vacation home in Lake of The Ozarks, baking desserts, and baking treats for the family at Christmas. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Kenneth; children, Kenneth Cherry, Jr, Moline, Kathy (Allan) Reschke, Geneseo, Roger (Rosie Rathjen) Cherry, Geneseo, Christine (Bruce) Smith, Michigan, Lisa Cherry, Davenport; fourteen grandchildren, Joshua, Lukas, Shane, Ethan, Jordan, Ryan, Jason, Brandon, Tabatha, Alexander, Aaron, Cameron, Kayla, and Connor; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Cheryl (Dave) Carlson, Cambridge; and brothers, Keith (Kris) Southwick, Silvis, Robert (Peggy) Southwick, East Moline, and Richard Southwick, East Moline.

Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Geraldine; and infant son, Kevin Robert Cherry.
