Delbert K. Moore, 67, of Davenport, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at his home. Cremation has been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 21st, in the lower level of the Cambridge Public Library at 212 West Center Street. Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Cambridge, is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family.
Delbert Kyle Moore was born August 23, 1954 in Kewanee, the son of Chester and Mildred Perry Moore. He was educated in Cambridge schools and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1972. He was employed for over 30 years at the Tyson Plant in Joslin. His marriage to Lien Nguyen took place in 2004. Delbert was an avid Illini and Chicago Bears fan and was a super fan of the Chicago White Sox. He also enjoyed his beloved cat, Yo Yo.
Those surviving are his wife, Lien, daughters, Sasha Perkins, Cambridge, Erin (Dan) Moore-Pearcy, Maquoketa, IA, Gabrielle (Jason) Moore-Cotes, Kewanee, a stepdaughter, Ni Ta (Vu) Le, Dallas, TX, sisters, Geraldine (Dan) Birdsall, Lynn Center, and Charlotte (Dave) York, Milan, and a brother, Arden (Lorrine) Moore, Woodhull. Other survivors include grandchildren, Naryah Moore, Michael, Hannah, and Miranda Pearcy, all of Maquoketa, IA, Zoe Le, Dallas, TX, a great granddaughter, Laila Gannon, Maquoketa, IA, and sisters-in-law, Judie Moore, Andover, Connie Moore, Galesburg, and a brother-in-law, George Johnson, St. Louis, MO. His parents, two brothers, Nicholas Moore and Roderick Moore, and a sister, Sheila Johnson, preceded him in death.
