She was employed as a bookkeeper for Payless Cashway, Silvis, as well as working for Western Tobacco, and being a homemaker. Bobbie enjoyed singing – even singing on the radio when younger and was an accomplished pianist. She enjoyed square dancing, farkle, cribbage, bowling, and golf. She was an active member of the Colona United Methodist Church, Geneseo Kitchen Band, and a Red Hatter. Bobbie brought a smile to the hearts of many as Mrs. Claus during the Christmas Holidays. Her greatest joy came from spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bobbie also adored her cat, Susie.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Tony (Deb) Rokis, Shari (Ted) Anderson, Lindy (Bob) Anderson, JoAnne Hillman, Sandy (Ed) Skelton, all of Colona; nineteen grandchildren; and thirty-two great-grandchildren.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Louis Rokis; son, Leslie Rokis; grandson, Zachary Skelton; brother, Robert Firth; and son-in-law, Dale Hillman.
