Steven T. Ator, 56 years old, of Ocala, Florida, passed away suddenly on April 3rd, 2023 in his Ocala, FL home.

Steve was born in Moline, IL to Roy & Carolyn Ator on December 3rd, 1966. He was a high school graduate of Orion High School, in Orion, IL and attended Augustana College. He was a member of the Orion United Methodist Church.

Steve, at the early age of 16 received his pilot's license. He started as a flight instructor and then went on to several different airlines before securing his own air charter company. After selling his air charter company he decided to go back to his roots, which was the trucking business. Steve worked as a driver and trainer for AutoZone for 19 years, first based out of Danville, IL and then Ocala, FL for the past year.

Steve is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jennifer, his 4 children Chase and wife Jamie, Adam, Garrett, and Madison and wife Gabby as well as his 3 grandchildren Gavin, Grace, and Evie. He is lovingly remembered by his mother Carolyn and sister Vera McAvoy along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Steve was predeceased by his brother, Bob, and father, Roy.

Steve had many hobbies of which included boating, kayaking, fishing, and tinkering with projects. His favorite pastime was spending time with family. Steve was the most loving, generous, and funny father, husband, and friend. He will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Snappers in Danville, IL on May 6th from 2pm-5pm. Another Celebration will be held at Gators Dockside in Ocala, FL on May 14th from 2pm-5pm.
