Geneseo at Rochelle

The Hubs finished off the series with the Maple Leafs with a 15-4 victory in five innings on April 26.

Geneseo led 4-0 midway through the third inning, but Rochelle caught fire at the plate scoring five runs in the third inning, seven runs in the fourth and three more in the fifth.

Kyle Wise and Erik Stenzel each finished with a hit and an RBI.

Isaiah Rivera and Kyle Toone each laced a double, and Colton Garcia hit a triple and drove in a run.

Galesburg at Geneseo

The Silver Streaks were golden shutting out Geneseo 13-0 at Stone Field on April 27.

Ty Johnson managed Geneseo’s only hit, and Cole Hartman drew a pair of walks.

Galesburg starter Connor Aten pitched four innings allowing one hit with five walks and six strikeouts.

Ottawa at Geneseo

The Maple Leafs rallied with a six-run sixth inning to surprise the Pirates with a 7-6 defeat at Stone Field April 30.

Jacob McConnell came through with a clutch two-out double in the sixth with the bases loaded to give Geneseo their first lead of the game.

Kyle Pittenger came in and earned the save striking out two to close out the game.

The Leafs’ Johnson earned the win on the mound.

A junior, Johnson showed poise limiting damage to four runs in the fourth inning where fielding errors helped Ottawa take a 6-1 lead.

It seemed all over after the Maple Leafs left the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth, but Geneseo kept fighting and produced the six-run sixth that gave them the lead.

McConnell drove in four runs, and freshman PJ Moser finished with a pair of hits.

Rivera drove in two runs, and Jake Winslow clubbed two hits including a double.

Geneseo at Ottawa

The Maple Leafs tried to rally again, but Ottawa’s lead proved too much on the road on May 1.

After Ottawa took a 7-2 lead, Geneseo scored three runs in the sixth to closes the gap.

Winslow stayed hot at the plate finishing 4-for-4 with an RBI, and Wise double and drove in a run.

McConnell doubled and drove in a run, and Parker Magness finished with a double and an RBI.
