Geneseo at Ottawa

The Maple Leafs’ Kyle Cones had a strong showing finishing with a 680 three-game series in Geneseo’s 3128-3124 victory over the Pirates at Dettore’s Downtown Lanes on Dec. 6

Cones finished with a team-high 244 and he finished with three games above 200 (217, 244, 219).

Geneseo’s Alex McAvoy rolled his way to a 533 series, and Sebastian Einfeldt finished with a 528 series.

Logan Munoz tallied a 481 series, and Justin Ford finished with a 474 series.

Tyler Durnell rounded out the varsity scores with a 432 series.

In the JV competition, Ottawa snagged a 2186-2050 victory over Geneseo.

The Maple Leafs’ Aidan Grafft finished with the top JV series with a 459.

Geneseo’s Jack Sellers tallied a 410 series, and Kyle Blankenship finished with a 344 series.

Tyler Weisser rolled a 294 series, and Logan Sims finished with a 289 series.

The Leafs’ Jack Mannon finished with a 254 series.

Geneseo at LaSalle-Peru

The Maple Leafs had solid contributions from everyone to come away with a 3245-3103 victory over the Cavaliers on Dec. 5.

Ford led the way with a team-high 582 series, and Cones finished with a 574 series.

Durnell rolled a 544 series, and Einfeldt finished with a 523 series.

Munoz tallied a 515 series, and McAvoy finished with a 507 series.

In the JV competition, Geneseo’s Kaden Splear finished with a JV best 526.

Jacob Endress rolled a 514 series, and Jonathan Widger finished with a 477 series.

Grafft finished with a 449 series, and Shane Lievens tallied a 428 series.

Geneseo’s Ethan Welfer finished with a 374 series.

Cavalier Bowling Classic

Cones finished runner-up individually and Geneseo finished eighth at Illinois Valley Super Bowl on Dec. 8.

Cones finished with a 1336 six-game series, and he finished nine pins behind champion Tyler Wilmoth (1345) from Plainfield North.

A senior, Cones began the classic with a three-game series of 258, 246 and 235.

Munoz finished 33rd with a 1090 six-game series, and Einfeldt tallied a 43rd place finish with a 1023 six-game series.

The Leafs’ Durnell rolled an 807 five-game series, and McAvoy finished with a 663 four game series.

Geneseo’s Splear added a 330 two-game series, and Ford notched a 108 game.

DeKalb at Geneseo

The Maple Leafs continued to pick up wins with a 3485-3107 victory over the Barbs at Lee’s Lanes on Dec. 11.

Cones led the way with a 638 three-game series, and he rolled games of 231 and 222.

Durnell boosted his series with a final game 210 to finish with a 603 series.

Ford finished with a 594 series after he finished with games of 227 and 215.

Munoz tallied a 560 series, and McAvoy finished with a 538 series.

The Leafs’ Einfeldt finished with a 205 game on his way to a 552 series.

Geneseo’s JV team was led by Nathan Johnson’s 557 series, and Splear added a 490 series.

Grafft finished with a 476 series, and Endress notched a 435 series.

Widger landed with a 409 series, and Welfer finished with a 388 series.

The Maple Leafs next games will be at the Freeport Tournament held at the Four Seasons Bowling Center on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 10 a.m.
