The Maple Leafs’ Kyle Cones earned a third-place finish at the Dixon Toughman Tournament, and Geneseo finished fourth in the team standings at the boys’ bowling tournament.

The Maple Leafs’ Kyle Cones earned a third-place finish at the Dixon Toughman Tournament, and Geneseo finished fourth in the team standings at the boys’ bowling tournament.

Cones rolled three games above 200 including an outstanding 278 which was the third-best single game in the tournament.

A senior, Cones finished with an 1102 six-game series at Plum Hollow Family Center in Dixon on Dec. 29.

Geneseo finished sixth (5284) among a 12-team field with Oregon winning the tournament with a 6245 team score.

Logan Munoz rolled his way to a 28th-place finish with an 883 series with a 203 game.

Sebastian Einfeldt finished 40th with an 823 series, and Justin Ford tallied an 817 series.

Kaden Splear rolled a three-game series to a 494, and Jacob Endress finished with a 209 series.

Geneseo’s next meet will be at the Northern Illinois Big 12 LaSalle-Peru hosts the conference meet at Illinois Valley Super Bowl on Wednesday, Jan. 9.
