Geneseo’s 4x800-relay team of Avery Magerkurth, Julia Poel, Lauren Belvel and Esther Brown earned the title in 10:59.92 at the Cuffy Early Bird Invite Indoor Invite at Knox College Feb. 22.

Geneseo’s pole vaulters were a notch above the rest with Grace Girten winning the title by clearing 8’6”.

The Lady Leafs’ Alexys Johnson and Evie Wilson each cleared 8’6” in the pole vault.

Following a 12th-place finish at state in the high jump last season, Abby Reakes made her sophomore debut clearing 5’ in the high jump.

A freshman, Geneseo’s Ali Rapps made a strong statement finishing runner-up in the 55 dash in 9.34.

Geneseo’s Wilson earned a third-place finish in the high jump clearing 4’10”, and Alexandria Horne finished fourth clearing 4’10”.

Alison Bowers captured third in the 55 dash in 7.80, and Horne finished seventh in the 55 dash in 8.11.

Hone had another top-five finish landing third in the 200 in 29.31, and Rapps nabbed third in the 400 in 1:04.82.

Geneseo’s Megan Soria came in third in the 900 in 2:56.35, and Claire Hall finished eighth in 3:20.20.

Poel added a fourth-place finish in the 400 in 1:06.31, and Bowers finished fifth in 1:06.93.

The Lady Leafs’ Brenna McGuire had a strong day in the field events finishing fourth in the long jump with a distance of 14’9.5”.

A sophomore, McGuire earned fourth in the shot put with a throw of 33’6.5”, and Geneseo’s Taylor Smith finished seventh with a throw of 27’1”.

A freshman, Annie Turpin came in fifth in the triple jump with a distance of 28’5.5”, and Triston Highton finished seventh in the 55 hurdles in 10.70.
