Sterling Triangular

The Maple Leafs’ Colton Pischke raced his way to a pair of wins at the Westwood Sports Complex in Sterling on March 12.

A senior, Pischke earned wins in the 400-meter dash in 54.76, and he raced to a victory in the 60 hurdles in 8.58.

Geneseo (45.67) finished second in the team standings behind the invite winners Moline (70.33) with host Sterling (27) landing third.

Geneseo’s Billy Blaser threw his way to a title with a throw of 46’9.5” in the shot put.

Nate Clark-Holke cleared a new season best 12’3” to win the pole vault title.

Geneseo made a strong showing in the pole vault with Andrew Verplaetse and Eric Verplaetse each clearing 10’3”.

Mason Jones finished runner-up in the long jump with a distance of 19’4.75”, and Luke Sebastian finished third with a distance of 18’11.5”.

The Maple Leafs’ 4x200-relay team of Caleb Winfree, Carson Oney, Max Sottos and Brenden Hipkins finished runner-up in 1:47.16.

Geneseo’s Kaden Rink, Ethan Holke, Jerry Green and Spencer Lindstrom ran down a runner-up finish in the 4x400 relay in 3:50.75.

A junior, Lindstrom earned a runner-up finish in the 800 in 2:08.07, and Neo Colter managed a third-place finish in the 800 in 2:18.71.

Kaleb Decker captured fourth in the 800 in 2:18.90, and Justin Johnson finished fifth in the 800 in 2:19.84.

In the 400, Rink chased down third place in 55.41, and Hunter Clark-Holke finished in 56.76.

William Plumley raced to a fourth-place finish in 1600 in 5:06.05, and Colby Rapps landed fifth in 5:06.79.

Pischke came in fourth in the 200 in 24.70, and Jordan Seeley finished sixth in 25.01.

Geneseo’s Jaycob Norton and Max Sottos each finished with a distance of 5’4” in the high jump, and Sebastian earned fourth in the 60 hurdles.

Alex McAvoy launched a fifth-place toss in the shot put with a distance of 38’7”, and Eli Allen captured sixth with a throw of 38’5”.

Nathan Carroll landed seventh in the triple jump with a distance of 34’9.5”, and Seeley finished ninth in the 60 with a time of 7.52.

Silver Streaks Last Chance Invitational

The Maple Leafs’ Pischke continued his monster season with a hurdles victory at Monmouth College on March 16.

Pischke won the 60 hurdles title with a season-best time of 8.51.

A senior, Blaser came in fourth in the shot put with a throw of 47’9.5”, and Zach Wilson finished fourth in the high jump clearing 5’1”.

Geneseo’s speed team of Pischke, Seeley, Jones and Rink ran down third in the 4x200 relay om 1:38.60.

The Maple Leafs’ 4x400-relay team of Pischke, Rink, Hunter Clark-Holke and Lindstrom crossed the finish line in fourth in 3:40.52.

In the 4x800 relay, Geneseo finished fourth in the 8:58.89 with Lindstrom, Rapps, Colter and Johnson sharing the baton.

Seeley raced to a fourth-place finish in the 200 in 24.38, and Nate Clark-Holke cleared 10’ to finish sixth in the pole vault.

Hunter Clark-Holke captured seventh in the 400 in 56.30, and Plumley finished eighth in the 3200 in 10:50.39.

A freshman, Johnson claimed ninth in the 1600 in 4:59.27, and Jones came in 10th in the long jump with a distance of 19’11”.

Seeley raced to 11th in the 60 in 7.48, and Colter finished 15th in the 800 in 2:14.30.

Geneseo’s Brenden Hipkins finished the triple jump with a distance of 33’9”.
