Floral shop adds grave monuments to line

Galva Monument Co., offering a full line of domestic and imported granite and marble monuments, has opened for business in Galva Florist.

Located next to Dad’s Pizza on Front Street, Galva Florist began selling monuments March 5. Galva Florist owner Judy Hartman and her daughter Melissa will be the representatives for Galva Monument Co., which is a branch location of Weiss Monument Co.

Weiss Monument Co. is a third generation family owned and operated company with branch locations in Peoria, Pekin, Rushville, Roseville, Griggsville, Henry, El Paso, Gibson City and Pawnee. Weiss Monument was founded in 1933.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

A grand opening with all monuments discounted 10-16 percent is underway.
