'On track' for autumn opening of new Woodhull business
No decisions were made by the Woodhull Village Board at a special meeting July 19, but trustees learned more about plans for the Pilot Flying J business to be constructed at the west edge of town.
Pilot engineer Kevan Cooper told the board demolition of the old Woodhull Plaza building will begin soon, and explained the north portion of the property will be separated by the entrance street 1,000 feet from the I-74 exit ramp.
The new business will be constructed on the lot closest to the Interstate and will include a deli restaurant. Cooper said use for the rest of the lot is on the “back burner” until the business is up and running and eventually may be sold for another business or a motel.
He noted plans are on track for the business to open late this fall.
