The Bob Evans Farms plant in Galva appears likely to close next week. The last production day is reportedly Friday, Aug. 6.

The fate of the Bob Evans plant in Galva is expected to be announced by company officials on Monday.

An employee told the Galva News on Thursday that today (Aug. 6) is the last day of production at the plant. A company official contacted by the Galva News declined to confirm that, though. Indications from the unnamed employee are that the plant is closing, however.

Employees are reportedly to be present at the plant Monday for a company meeting, at which they are expected to learn details of the situation. Corporate officials for the Ohio-based company will be on hand.

The plant employs about 60 to 70 people, according to an employee.
