The grass is showing through. What a pleasant sight. Warm days are ahead. We have a variety of recipes for you this month, hope you enjoy them.

Donut Muffins

Beat together ½ cup margarine, 1 cup sugar and one egg.

Add 1½ cups flour plus 1 ½ tsp. baking powder, ½ tsp nutmeg, and ½ cup milk. Beat well and fill 12 greased muffin tins. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Melt 6 Tbsp. margarine and mix 1/3 cup sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon.

When muffins are done and while still warm dip the tops in the melted margarine, then in sugar/cinnamon mixture.

Orange Salmon

Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish. Place salmon pieces in pan. Sprinkle soy sauce over salmon. Use the zest of one large navel orange and put on top of the fish. Sprinkle with onion powder. Lay orange slices over salmon and sprinkle with brown sugar.

Bake at 450 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.

There aren’t many people that do “spring cleaning” but here are some ideas for the multitasking (a new word in the dictionary):

*While on the phone fold laundry, fluff pillows pick up papers and magazines, do the dishes, sweep or dust.

*Papers and odd toys pile up on the dining table, pick up a basket, put everything in the basket and empty the basket, putting things where they belong.
