The Galva Arts Council will sponsor another free digital photography workshop 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 31 at the Arts Council building, 130 N. Exchange St., Galva.

The morning will be spent with instruction on how to create better photographs.

After lunch (bring lunch or eat out), the afternoon session will be outdoor hands-on instruction for a couple of hours so participants can learn to better use their digital camera. The last part of the afternoon will be spent back at the Arts Council building looking at and discussing images created outdoors.

Galva photographer Roger Luft will conduct the workshop. A retired professor from Eastern Illinois University, he has been photographing nature for many years and also photographs weddings and portraits.

Luft also chairs the Galva Arts Council Photo Show held on July 4.

There is no registration. Just show up at 9 a.m.

Attendees do not have needed to attend the first workshop, held in February.
