Craft goodies return next month

Henry County’s largest one-day craft show will take place in Galva on Saturday, Oct. 18.
Beta Sigma Phil will host its 30th annual show when over 100 craft show spaces will display a wide variety of quality-crafted items from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Galva High School.
Along with crafts sold inside the school’s halls and gym, a large tent outside the school will display crafts.
Admission is a $1 donation for persons 13 and over and includes admission to both locations, which are within walking distance of each other.
No strollers will be allowed inside.
Food will be served in the school cafeteria, featuring homemade BBQ sandwiches, fancy desserts and pies.
Proceeds from the show will be used for community service projects.
Past donations have included: accelerated reading and library book drives; Galva Public Library children’s room carpet; Jaws of Life equipment for the Galva Fire Department; playground equipment; artist-in-residency program; Freedom House; Empty Stocking fund; Galva Senior Citizens Center; Love Tree; and various other community projects.
