Family: husband of 26 years, Larry; three children, Stephanie Wexell, 24; Sammy Kay, 19; and Tyler (17); son-in-law, Jared Wexell, 24; and grandson, Jayden Wexell, 14 months.

Have resided in Galva since: We built our home here in 2000. We moved to Scott Air Force Base in 2004, and came back every chance we could from 2004 until now. We are home for good and I am glad!

If I were to live anywhere else, I’d choose: Actually, I have lived in so many places and this is the place I have been longing to live. I wish everyone knew how blessed they are to have lived in one town their whole lives.

One of my cherished childhood memories is: going to “The Salvation Army” with my grandma every Sunday and getting Kentucky Fried Chicken afterwards.

If I had one day to live any way I wished, I would: go to heaven and spend it with my mom and dad! That would be wonderful!
