'57 Chevy, old truck take honors in Galva car show

A 1957 Chevrolet Bel-Aire owned by a Macomb man took Best of Show in the Fourth Annual Galva Car Show held Saturday, Aug. 14 in Wiley Park.

Ninety entries turned out for the event, hosted by the Galva Freedom Fest Committee. Carmen Rose’s ’57 Chevy was chosen the top car following a vote of all car owners.

A 1940 Ford pickup owned by Dean Ator of Orion won the Mayor’s Trophy, chosen by Mayor Tom Hartman.
