Christmas royalty contest signups underway

The Galva Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking participants for the Little Mr. & Little Miss Christmas Contest.

Children in the Galva School District in Pre-K or kindergarten are invited to participate.

Votes will be collected at all three banks in Galva. The boy and girl with the most votes will be crowned during the Ol’ Fashion Christmas festival on Saturday, Nov. 27. They will serve as the grand marshals in the Christmas parade that day.

This is an annual fund-raiser that is hosted this year by the 2009 Galva Harvest Royalty with proceeds benefiting the March of Dimes.

Applications are available at all three banks, Galva Pharmacy, Hathaway’s Gift Barn and IGA.
