Singing duo to help Galva church try to set personal record

First Baptist Church of Galva, 203 NW 4th Ave., is attempting to set a new attendance record on Oct. 24.
The church’s record is 222 people; it’s hoping to break the record with over 300 people, including adults and children. If the church breaks the record, a picture will be taken of the filled sanctuary.
To help reach the goal, a gospel duo – Shane and Natalie Brown – is scheduled to perform during the 10:45 a.m. worship service. Active in the music ministry for the past 12, the couple just released their fourth CD, “We Believe,” recorded in Nashville, Tenn.
The Browns’ music features styles ranging from traditional country to contemporary praise and worship.
After the service, all children can go to the church’s candy shop to pick out candy, cotton candy or a small prize.
