Poll: Fireworks the favorite, by far

Fireworks is – by far – the most popular July 4 activity in Galva, according to respondents to a poll at galvanews.com which ended July 5.

Seventy-six percent of respondents said they like the fireworks display more than any other aspect of Galva’s annual Freedom Fest celebration.

Finishing a distant second in voting – with 12 percent – was “renewing old acquaintances.” Also getting votes were parade (8 percent) and talent show (4 percent).

Two other options  5-k run/walk and “other”  neither received votes.
