Abilities Plus is preparing for the Christmas season with their annual holiday open house.

The open house will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4 at 1100 N. East St., in Kewanee. The public is invited to attend.

The open house features a bake sale, raffle items, complimentary refreshments, and the chance to purchase collectibles, holiday décor, and hand decorated evergreen wreaths.

Raffle items include a puzzle quilt, Disney “Frozen” castle and dolls, an Elvis collage and two Mall of America amusement packages. Winners need not be present to win.

Volunteers from the Abilities Plus Resale Shop have gathered items throughout the year and will sell their unique collection of gifts, holiday décor, antiques, and specialty items at the event.

Agency tours will once again be available. Evergreen wreaths decorated by clients in the Abilities Plus work services program will be ready for purchase and wreath stands are available for an additional fee. Those wanting to order a wreath or schedule an alternative pick up time can contact Abilities Plus at (309) 852-4626.

All proceeds from the open house help fund programs that benefit children and adults with delays and disabilities in Henry, Stark, and western Bureau Counties.
