Geneseo Woman's Club member Jessica Damewood and her daughter, Ashlynn Damewood, and Brooklyn Smith are ready for the Geneseo Woman’s Club Mother & Daughter Princess Tea on Saturday, April 1. The event is planned to raise funds for a new scholarship added to the Woman’s Club program.

A Mother & Daughter Princess Tea will help fund a new scholarship provided by the Geneseo Woman’s Club, a member of the General Federation of Woman’s Clubs.

The new scholarship will be awarded to a sophomore girl at Geneseo High School and will provide funds for her to attend the Illinois Federation of Woman’s Clubs Leadership Seminar in Chicago.

The Mother & Daughter Princess Tea will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Geneseo.

“We invite young princesses to come dressed as their favorite character princess and young princes also are welcome,” said Woman’s Club president Cici Gaudet.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The afternoon will include a visit from Cinderella as well as Anna and Elsa from “Frozen” and other costumed characters. There will be songs, games, stories, a craft and treat bag for all who attend.

Finger foods and beverages will be served.

The Princess Tea will be limited to 72 reservations which should be made by Monday, March 27. For more information, phone (309) 489-0103 or 945-2449.
