Farm Bureau hosting prep, freeze & cook event in Annawan

Participants create meals at a prior prep, freeze & cook event hosted by the Henry County Farm Bureau.

Annawan Parks and Recreation, in conjunction with the Henry County Farm Bureau Foundation, will host a Prep, Freeze and Cook event on Wednesday, July 26.

The program will start at 6 p.m. at the Howes Park Community Center, in Annawan.

The fee for the program will include 10 freezer meals and all materials and instructions.

The meals will include: sausage burritos with potatoes, creamy spaghetti bake, taco casserole, teriyaki chicken fajitas, gravy pork roast, creamy Italian chicken, cherry cola pulled pork, cheesy southwest chicken soup, savory meatloaf and Philly cheesesteak sloppy joe.

Pre-registration is due July 20. Forms may be found at www.annawanil.org or picked up at the Henry County Farm Bureau office or the Annawan-Alba Library.
