4-H'ers participate in bucket calf show

Katie Miller of Cambridge, left, and Logan Martens of Lynn Center were named the record book winners of the 4-H Bucket Calf Show Saturday, June 28, at the Henry County Fair. Miller won the division for 10 and under, while Martens won the older class.

The Henry County 4-H bucket calf show was June 23 at the Henry County fair grounds in Cambridge.

Receiving plaques for their calves were: Lauren Lyman, Wyatt Martens, Hannah?Dodd and Jason Beam. Receiving plaques for their record books were: Logan Martens and Katie Miller.

Beef Bucket Calf - Exhibitor Older Than 10

Beef Bucket Calf - Yearling Heifer

Jason Beam, Atkinson, blue and Taylor Reed, Cambridge, blue.

Dairy Bucket Calf - Exhibitor Younger Than 10

Adam Brooks, Cambridge, blue; Hanna Dodd, Coal Valley, blue; and Adam Dynes, Annawan, blue.

Wyatt Martens, 9, son of Pat and Annette Martens of Orion, and a member of the Red Rangers 4-H Club, showed the champion beef bucket calf for exhibitors 10 and under during the 4-H Bucket Calf Show.
