Dynes shows champion boer goat

Taylor Dynes of Annawan showed the champion meat goat wether during the Boer Goat Show Saturday morning at the Henry County Fair. Dynes, 15, is the son of Martin and Shelley Dynes. He is shown with Paul Alexander, left, and Dustin DeReu, right.

The Boer Goat Show at the Henry County Fair exhibited goats from Henry County as well as around the state.

Local champions included Vicki Stich of Woodhull who showed the grand champion Fullblood doe yearling, the reserve champion Fullblood senior and the Fullblood overall champion.

Also taking home top honors was Jon Walker of Kewanee. He showed the reserve champion Fullblood Buck yearling and the Overall reserve champion Fullblood Buck.

Katie Medema of Prophetstown also joined the other champions with her Commercial doe junior champion and her Commercial Doe overall champion.

The Grand Champion Open Wether was shown by Taylor Dynes of Annawan.
