Learning the basics at youth football camp

Aspiring Geneseo football players took to the field to learn from the Geneseo High School football coaching staff July 7 to 11 at the annual Geneseo Youth Football camp hosted by the GHS Football program.

The camp is held for fifth to seventh graders. The seventh graders participating in camp are as follows: James Balleger, Gage Blackert, Trevor Craig, Zach Denney, Jacob Eaker, Nathan Franque, Bryce Gramling, James Hartsock, Michael Haugse, Kaleb Haxby, Lucas Knepp, Zach?Mackey, Anthony Marmion, Jeremy May, Kyle Patterson, Matthew Rowley, Joe Thomas, Nick Verbeck and Griffin Welfer.

Those sixth graders taking part in camp were Sam Arndt, Jacob Beeth, Jonathan Barry, JJ Beighle, Mark Farb, Nolan Fassett, Jordan Holke, Cooper Humphries, Paul Kastorff, Tyler Mackey, Craig Medema, Ryan?Pitra, Grant Pritchard, Greg Rusk, Zach Schefsky, Jordan Schnowske and Adam Smith.

The fifth grade campers included: Grant Chaney, Dalton DeCap, Hunter DeSplinter, Griffin Fleming, Reid Gradert, Ryan Hartsock, Devin Haxby, Hunter Hinton, Cole Hunzeker, Trace Johnson, Gib Kluge, Elliot Koster, Dalton LaChance, Nathan Lauritzen, Bo Lindstrom, CJ Magerkurth, Josh Mathis, Montana Slagel, Sam Thomas, Cole Toone, Jacob VanDoren, Wyatt Wade, Conner Welch, Samuel Welch and Eric Westerlund.
