Full day of activities in Altona ending with fireworks

Altona Day -? a day filled with fun for all ages ?- will be held Saturday, July 26 in Altona.

Sponsored by the Altona Lions Club, with the assistance of the Altona Volunteer Fire Department, the day begins with a parade at 10 a.m. Parade participants will line up at 9:30 a.m. at Altona Grade School. For parade information, call Jim Clifford at 484-6351.

After the parade, the Lions will host a food stand, beginning at noon in the village park.

Firemen will provide children’s games in the park after lunch, from about 2 to 3 p.m.

A softball game between local volunteer firemen will be held at the Altona Grade School ballpark, beginning at 2 p.m.

Firemen will host a food stand at the ballpark after the game and on into the evening.

Children’s games will be held at the ballpark from 5 p.m. until the fireworks.

Fireworks begin at dusk at the ballpark.
