Students, faculty volunteer for habitat for Humanity

Eight students and four faculty members from Orion High School spent from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, working on a Habitat for Humanity house in the 1900 block of West Second Street in Davenport. The students were Amelia Martens, Amy Komadino, Trevor Johnson, Jamie Harrington, Jim Hills, Alyssa Zwicker, Sarah Lohr and Morgan Mason. OHS faculty included Student Council sponsor Patty Swanson, who supervised the students, and Shelly Johnson, Becky Nightingale and Jeff Padgett, who served lunch to the workers. Groups from United Parcel Service and Augustana College, Rock Island, also were involved in the project.
