Victorian Walk now called ‘Christmas Walk’

Geneseo’s annual Victorian Walk will now be known as the “Christmas Walk.”

The change was made to “better encompass a larger spirit of Christmas” said Chamber of Commerce executive director Rhonda Ludwig.

While much of the event will remain the same — including its traditional “living windows” — the name change frees organizers from the original Victorian focus, said Ludwig.

The theme for the 2008 Christmas Walk will be “Christmas in the 40s”

With the introduction of a new era, Ludwig said she hopes to attract “more quality windows.”

Christmas Walk will be Dec. 13 in downtown Geneseo.
