Fall Festival pie bakers, bidders listed

Rising costs for gasoline and groceries did not keep bidders from digging deep into their wallets at the Orion Fall Festival pie auction on Friday, Aug. 29.

They spent $18,545 for 62 pies and miscellaneous items.

Two dozen of Audrey Cook’s cinnamon rolls, remembered fondly from the days of the Orion Cafe, sold for $725. Beth Tennant Schullerman bought six for $100; Jerry Meyer, six for $100; Rob DeBaillie, six for $200; and Aaron Tennant, six for $325.

Pie bakers and bidders are listed below, according to sales slips completed during the auction.
