Building relationships to help present Christ is workshop focus
Galva’s First Baptist Church’s interim pastor Rebekah Montgomery invites the community to join Harvest Sunday at 10:45 a.m. Nov. 2.
The church will host Tim Reist, associate pastor at Northwoods Community Church, Peoria, as he relates some of his life’s journey in a sermon entitled “Slaying the Giants in Your Life.”
At 1:30 p.m., following a community lunch, Reist will conduct a four-part workshop designed by Cadre Ministries entitled “Ministry is Relationship.” The public is also invited to attend both the lunch and this fun, interactive event.
The workshop’s four sessions are as follows:
No Relationships = No Ministry; Know Relationships = Know Ministry - An out-of-the-box learning experience explains why relationships are the heart of ministry and God’s mode of operation for impacting and changing the lives.
God-Powered Relationship Skills - Presents biblical motivation for building relationships and teaches the three key relationship skills for connecting with the heart of others.
He that Hath Ears, Let Him Hear! - This unforgettable listening experience enables participants to build relationships.
How to CLEAN UP Messy Relationships - Learn to use God’s relationship cleaning supplies in your everyday relationships
For an optional $15 materials fee, each participant receives a training manual complete with practical application pages, resources, and follow-through assignments and a bibliography of resources for continued relational development.
“I love training and equipping people and making the Word come alive,” Reist said.
