Halloween celebrations scheduled
Bright Beginnings at Cambridge Elementary School will host a Boo Bash Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The entire family is invited to dress up for an evening of tricks and treats.
Participants will enjoy games, simple crafts and snacks.
If possible, Bright Beginnings is asking each family to donate one bag of toddler friendly candy to be used at the party.
Children in sixth grade and younger are invited to a special, safe, trick or treat evening at Black Hawk College, East Campus, south of Kewanee, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29. Employees at BHC will dress in costumes, decorat the college hallways and hand out treats.
Children and their parents should check in at the front entrance of the main building. Directions will be handed out.
Trick or treat hours in Cambridge will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31.
In Andover, trick or treat hours are 4 to 6 p.m. on Halloween with the party from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Andover Village Hall. Costume judging will begin at 6:15 p.m. at the village hall.
Children can go door to door from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, in Geneseo.
Main Street Orion will hold its annual Halloween Costume parade.
Activities begin at 3:30 p.m. Halloween Day with hot dogs, drinks and games at the Orion Fire Station. The parade through the Main Street Business District will start at 4 p.m. Adults, teens, youth, preschoolers and babies in strollers are invited to attend.
Trick or treat hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m.
