Basket class kicks off GAC anniversary celebration

The Galva Arts Council is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2009 by offering several art classes for all ages this summer and fall.

The first event is a patriotic basket making class. It will be held on two different dates: Thursday, June 25 and Saturday, June 27. Teacher is Nancy Anderson, former Galva Elementary School art teacher.

Both classes will be held 9 a.m. until noon and are open to everyone over 8 years old. Cost is $3 for arts council members and $5 for non-members. There are also special prices for two or more family members. Call 932-3437 for the details.

Participants are asked to call and register by Thursday, June 18 so they will have materials for the class.
