Cleanup Week guidelines set

The city of Galva will have its annual cleanup week June 8-13, for Galva residents only. All residents are asked to put items in a Jackson Disposal roll-off at the Galva maintenance yard, located south of Eastgate Lanes bowling alley on Route 34 East.

The yard will be open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday; and 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

Anyone handicapped or unable to take their items to the yard can call City Hall at 932-2555 for assistance. Assistance will only be available on Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Unacceptable items are anti-freeze, LP tanks, yard waste, tires, electronics devices and hazardous materials.
