Mrs. Lincoln, Mexican food will highlight evening

A portrayal of Mary Todd Lincoln will be presented at Galva Congregational Church at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7. A Mexican Fiesta meal will follow. The public is invited.

Virginia Nelson of Kewanee will portray Mrs. Lincoln. She will entertain the audience with tales of Mrs. Lincoln’s life, including her years as First Lady and her trials following the loss of her husband, President Abraham Lincoln.

The meal features tacos, enchiladas, Spanish rice, beans, and empanadas.

A free-will donation will be collected to help cover the evening’s costs.

Galva Congregational Church is an independent, Bible-based church located at 211 NW 3rd Ave.
